About Us

     Northland Builders Inc. was originated by Gus Brown and Bill Hanninen in 1971. Since then, they have built and renovated hundreds of homes in Burnett, Washburn, and Douglas counties. The company has grown from a fledgling operation with Gus’s and Bill’s wives as their only employees to a well established General Contracting firm with 10 year round employees.

      We presently have 2 skilled carpentry crews working at various projects. As you can see from our photo gallery the workmanship is not only of superb quality but unique to serve the clients needs, designs, and wishes. Whether your needs include a new deck, garage, bathroom or kitchen renovation, or a new home we have the expertise, equipment, and personnel to do the job right

      The company is currently owned by Gus and Doug Brown, his son. Doug began working for Northland in 1982 and has learned the business from the ground up. They would be happy to help you create your dream home or retreat here in the north woods of Wisconsin. From the design process to site excavation, septic and well installation, framing, interior and exterior finish - Northland Builders Inc has the experience, the knowledge, and professional service to make your building experience memorable.
